Kwanele Maphalala
Founder, CEO & Managing Director
Is a founder and CEO of multiple LIT group businesses including LIT Forex Investors, LIT Barbershop & Beauty Salon and LIT Music Record Label. Kwanele holds a Master’s Degree in Science from UKZN and started his career as a scientist working for the South African Sugarcane Research Institute and later worked at Mondi research development department as a Biotechnology specialist for over 5 years.
The experience and leadership skills acquired in the cooperate world has influenced Kwanele’s current leadership style to lead to inspire which he is currently implementing and translating to music. He believes that the secret in making it in any business is when you master and understand the art of starting with why.

Junior Kudzai Gwazemba known by most as J.Ktrenz , born in SA with a Zimbabwean parent and SA parent, musician raised in Soweto South Africa. His smooth delivery and witty voice give his music an upbeat vibe and conscious feel. At an early age, JKtranz had a deep love and passion for music. Growing up, he was heavily inspired by the likes of Drake, Chris Brown, Wizkid, Asake and Mariah Carey.
He transitioned from a fanatic listener to an musician and has blazed a trail for his music career ever since. As he grew up he loving making beats after got inspired by the likes of Dr Dre and Kanye West he taught himself to make all type of beats from International genres to African genres including Amapaino until early 2024 he was told by his friends who does listen to him singing when he record them to get more invovled in singing.
as someone who love Afro Beat and Pop he did his first promo E.P called Unwind To Modern Magic which is available for streaming on Soundcloud only to realize that people love his music , ever since he get more involved in singing. J.Ktrenz had worked with various artist whom he record, mix and master their songs including making beats for them. Currently he is signed by a record label called Lit Music, a new established Record Label strives to be fully creative both visually and musically.

Emihle Buthelezi (professionally known as Hyphen) is a dedicated artist manager at Lit Music Records, bringing exceptional music knowledge and a deep passion for artist development. Holding a degree in Mining Engineering from the University of Johannesburg, Hyphen has successfully transitioned into the creative industry, applying a structured, strategic mindset to the dynamic world of music.
With over five years of experience in songwriting and composition, along with three years in music production, Hyphen has a strong foundation in both the technical and creative aspects of the industry. Formerly the Creative Director for Mr. and Miss UJ, Hyphen also has a proven track record in event planning and coordination, showcasing an ability to lead high-impact projects with professionalism and vision.
Through a multidisciplinary approach, Hyphen continues to cultivate talent and shape the future of music at Lit Music Records.
